Pump Loaner Program

The early 2009 snow melt and heavy rains resulted in many back yards flooded to levels not seen in recent years. Some backyard flooding approached basement windows which could have caused basement flooding. The Village developed a Pump Loaner Program to assist residents with this type of emergency. The Village recently purchased three electric pumps and will make these loaner pumps available to residents for the purpose of pumping surface water out of backyards.

To participate in this program, residents should contact the Village to request the use of a pump in this situation, or other emergency situations where there is imminent flooding risk. This program also requires a liability waiver.
