On June 23, 2015, the Village signed an agreement with MC Squared Energy Services (mc²) to provide electricity supply to eligible residents and small businesses (15,000 kWh or less) at the conclusion of the current agreement with Constellation Energy. The Village selected a 12 month agreement at the competitive rate of 6.690 cents/kWh, starting with the September 2015 billing cycle.
If you are already a member of the River Forest Electricity Aggregation Program, there is nothing you need to do. All existing residential and small business members will automatically be enrolled unless they choose to Opt-Out of the program. mc2 will be mailing informational material with additional information, including how to Opt-Out.
Residential and small businesses not currently part of the River Forest Electricity Aggregation Program can enroll by calling mc² at 1-855-259-1179, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Since the River Forest Aggregation Program began in August 2012, 3,207 residents and small businesses have participated and collectively saved more than $1,200,000 as compared to what they would have paid ComEd.
Please note that, under an opt-out electricity aggregation program, ComEd will remain the distributor of electricity in the Village; the selected alternative supplier will merely generate the electricity provided and deliver it to ComEd for distribution. Additionally, customers will continue to receive electricity bills from ComEd. Likewise, ComEd will remain responsible for all distribution system issues, including power outages.
