The River Forest Public Works Department performs and oversees various services for the improvement and maintenance of Village infrastructure and right-of-ways. River Forest Public Works is comprised of the following: Buildings and Grounds, Building and Zoning, Engineering/Capital Improvement, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Operations (includes forestry, streets, and water and sewer), and Solid Waste collection and disposal (refuse, recyclables, and yard waste).
