This operation coordinates Village land use planning activities.
These activities include implementing the River
Forest Comprehensive Plan, which sets forth long-range recommendations
for the maintenance and enhancement of the community and for
desirable improvements,
developments and redevelopments in selected locations. Other
activities include oversight of the development approval process
and administration of the Village’s Zoning
Code. Staff
liaison support is provided to the Development
Review Board,
Plan Commission and Zoning
Board of Appeals.
